WHY NEW DAWN EXISTS
Aurelia was established around a simple contingency: humanity should not depend on a single world, a single political system or a single century of stability.
We do not know whether humanity on Earth will survive. New Dawn exists so that the answer to that question does not decide whether our species survives.
PROGRAMME ARCHITECTURE
Modular assembly, redundant life-support architecture and a serviceable structural spine designed for centuries of renewal.
Food, water, atmosphere and industrial recovery systems planned around repair, reuse and generational continuity.
Education, medicine, governance and knowledge transfer are mission-critical infrastructure.
Future crews are expected to improve propulsion and revise the journey as science advances.
